REFLECTION: A CHALLENGING QUARTER

My Junior high school journey is about to end, we only have 3 remaining weeks to be together and enjoy each others company. It was like yesterday when we are learning the lessons of first quarter and now we are also about to end as we finished to learn the lessons for the fourth quarter. 

The challenges and difficulties this time is not new to me anymore because I've already encoutered it through the previous quarters but I can say that this one was the hardest. It fully testes my determination for my studies and gave me stressful days, but despite of the stress it caused to me I still managed to finish all the given activities/requirements. If you are not really determine to work hard, you cannot accomplish the thing you want but if you will be determined to finish it, I promise you your harhships will be paid off. 

Always believe in ourselves, think positive always and put in our minds that everything will fall into the right place if we will exert determination, hope, and patience on everything we do.

MY ARCHITECTURAL DREAM

Everyone has a dream and future ambitions in life, some of us dream of being rich and living a good life in the near future. We have a lot of different perspectives in life that we want to accomplish, and one of the biggest and hardest prrstension in my life is to become an architect someday.

My interest about architecture began when I was still at the young age. I've always wondered how those tall buildings, elegant houses was built only with the use of the creative and artistic ideas/mind of a human being. And I even love architecture more when my father started showing me his works and house designs when he was still an architecture student, I was so amazed that time that's why even I'm at the you lng age I got even more curious about the things related to this field.

 Now, I am a grade 10 student and another chapter of my life is about to end an ready again to enter the new chapter of my life, I will continue to walk through the path of my journey in achieving my dreams in life. I know that this journey will not be easy. It requires a lot of efforts and sacrifices, but I have the courage and confidence that someday I will become the one I always dream of.

This dream of mine is not only for myself but also to my parents who exerted a lot of hardships and sacrifices just to provide and support me to the things I want to, they are also the ones who believed in me more than I believed in myself. They also see the great potential in me in becoming the person I want to. Don't ever lose hope in life and continue to strive harder because everything will be paid off when the time we succeed in life 

117th FOUNDATION DAY OF ISNHS

Ilocos Sur National High School is a very well-known school for secondary level in the entire province of Ilocos Sur. It is because of the good quality of its learning system and for the good opportunities given to the students of our school. Celebrating the foundation day of our school is now a traditional activity for us, because every year we celebrate this to commemorate the founder of our school.

Last March 02 of the year 2019, we the students and teachers of our school celebrated the 117th foundation day of Ilocos Sur National High School. Our school was filled with laugh, excitement, and enjoynment within this day. Laugh because of the funny moments we've experience, excitement because of the field demonstration that we will perform infront of the thousands students in our school, and the enjoynment when we watch the performance of boys and girls for each year level. It was fun and entertaining to watch all the performers including us, all of us did our best and exerted a lot of effort on it but still at the end of the day both of the performers of grade 8 boys and girls won the field demo presentation.

We are not sad nor dismayed because of the result, we are still proud and happy. Proud because we knew we did our best to give them an amazing performance, and happy at the same time because we knew that the grade 8 students deserve to win this time. Their performance was wonderful, costumes are really attractive, and lastly their props were really colorful.

Winning is not our main goal for this event, it is for us to have fun and enjoy others company, and also for us to show that studying is not the only thing we do in our school but also for us to showcase our talents in dancing and show that the students of Ilocos Sur National High School can do more than what they expect from us.

KANNAWIDAN YLOCOS FESTIVAL 2019

       

  Ilocos Sur province has it's own rich old heritage and amazing cultures that we Ilocanos needs to put our attention on it and pass it to the upcoming generations. We must not also ashamed of our cultures instead we must be proud of it.

               This January is said to be the celebration for the 195th Anniversary of the province of Ilocos Sur. One example of our cultural activities is the celebration Kannawidan Ylocos Festival. Kannawidan is celebrated on the month of January to February, all municipalities of Ilocos joins together to celebrate the feast of entire province of Ilocos Sur. Our main goal why we celebrate this kind of feast is to promote tourists destinations here in Ilocos, promotes their one town one product, to share different cultures and this feast aims to advocate awareness on how to preserve the cultural heritage, and traditions, and for us to showcase the different products and agricultures on each municipalities of the entire province. There are also different activities celebrated or oriented in this event. Like the street dancing that showcase the cultural dances of Ilocos Sur, the crowning of new Ms. Saniata ti Ylocos, and many more.

              We Ilocanos are not only rich with cultural activities, but we also have one big heart and mind on preserving, protecting, and promoting our traditional activities.

           

Change Starts With Me

Change happens wether we like it or not and regardless of the things that might change, we cannot do anything to make it stop/to make it stay just like the same as it is before. The happenings for tomorrow will be more different than today, but I believed that the bigger changes starts within ourselves.

Maybe some of us don't like to change, because some of us believed that changing ourselves won't help us to become a better person. But for me changing myself into something new is also the best start to change the negative thoughts in our lives, the nagativities in the world that surrounds me. A change wherein I need to do for me to achieve a wonderful lifestyle, a change where I need to make,where I can change the society/the world I am residing right now, to change it into a peaceful, wonderful, and happy place to live. A change where I need to get rid off the negativities that lessens my self confidence to show the world who really I am.

We can lead change and make our world a better place if we start it with ourselves.  We have our own decisions to make, but I choose to change myself first for the better.

New Year, New Me

Some of us think of the new year as something. Something that gives us a fresh start, a start where we forget and leave behind the troubles and mistakes we've done for the past few years. A year where we can make ourselves better, stronger, and braver.

We are well prepared when we entered the year 2019. There are those things that we want to change as the year also changes. For me, I want to fix the mistakes and wrong deeds I have done. This is the year where I am full of determination, promises, and hopes. The determination to finish all the task/activities given to me, where I can be more determined to achieved the things I want in life. Promises, promises wherein I need to fulfill because I don't want to leave them broken just like the promise I've made the past years, and lastly a year where I am full oh hope. A year where I believed that I can be more than what I think of myself, a year where I can do the things I've never expected to.

I see this year as a way to over, a year where I can create a new me. There are no hindrance on making new decisions in myself and changing myself for the better

REFLECTION: 3rd Quarter

In this quarter, it has been hard and a challenging quarter. This quarter testes my determination for my studies. I've also experienced lack of time because I didn't manage my time well specially in finishing all the activities  that was given to us. But at the end of the day I feel very exhausted but because I dont want to fail this quarter, I'd still tried to work hard even at night. There were many tiring days and sleepless nights but I am still determined to finish all the requirements given to us. Lack of time is not an excuse in matter of having proper time management and hardwork. Continue striving hard and pursuing our dreams until the day will come that our hardships will be paid off.

CHRISTMAS IS LOVE

Do we still need to celebrate Christmas? Is it really true that Christmas is the day of giving and receiving love from one another? Christmas is the most special occasion that we need to celebrate on the month of December.
Christmas is about love. Caring about another, spending your time putting efforts to little things to make your love ones happy. We celebrate Christmas to remember the day when our savior Jesus Christ was born. Christmas is also about togetherness, being with the people we love, laughing, telling, and remembering happy moments, giving gifts to our love ones. Giving love and forgiving each other is the true spirit of Christmas.
This day is all about loving, giving, and caring. It is really true that it is better to give than to receive. The day of Christmas is really worth celebrating for, this day is a wonderful day to be with our love ones and cherish every moments with them.x

EQUAL RIGHT, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

We as a human beings was created to fill our world with love and respect, we are created to build and develop a wonderful world that anyone wish to have. But what if in the society we reside is full of gender discrimination and full of cruelty?

Equality is to make sure that everyone has equal rights and opportunities in our society. Gender is one of the way we need to consider in order to be fair and equal. We are all given the opportunity to reach/ achieve our goals in life but sadly the cruel society is the one that stops us to pursue our dreams. A society that is full of discrimination, judgemental people, and lastly a society that stops us to do the things we want to do, a society who will stop you to have freedom.

we all deserve to be treated fairly and equally because even though what role we play in our society, we still deserve to be loved. Stop the discrimination and hatred, instead hate we should start spreading love and admiration to each and any one of us.

CHILDREN'S MONTH CELEBRATION

What would be the world without the youth? Can you imagine how lonely and sad without children in our lives? Children are the hope of our future, they are the one who will save our society before it falls into a cruel one.
Children plays a very important role in our society, they serve as the hope and future of one nation. They build a stronger world for each and one of us. They also serve as the happiness of ones individual specially they serve as the happiness of the old ones in our society. They make our lives alive and fill it with joy and positivity that we want to have. But sometimes they are treated like slaves, endeavors, or being violated with no reason at all. Even if they are still on their young age where they need to be treated right and needed to be loved especially they are still on their young age where they need someone who will love and guide them through the right path.
Let's not hate them for doing wrong things because they are still young, they still have many long years to correct the mistakes they've done. They also deserve respect, admiration, love, and care from someone who can fill their happiness

VALUES MONTH THEME 2018

    Do you think technology have changed the way of communication? Technology has been playing an important role in our life for today's generation. In our world today, we cannot live without technologies such as televisions, mobile phones, computers, and others.
    Technology have slowly taken an essential part in people's lives and for not using them would be unimaginable for some of us. Using our gadgets, we can now easily contact/call our relatives who are far from us or who are living in other country. Even if they are far from us, we can still feel that they are still with us because of the good advantage of technology in our lives. . Without this things we will not have this kind of communications right now. It is truly that technology has changed our communication to one another, not only the way of communicating each other but also it changes our lives and made it become easier, simpler, and better lives to experience.
   The communication of one another before are only through hand written letters not just like now where we are now on the modern era where everything we are using right now  is technology. But we should also be thankful because of this our communication with our family will not that be so hard or it may not be delayed.

Reading: The way to success in life.

Have you ever imagined how will our lives can be  if we can't read?  Reading has at all times and in all ages have been a great source of knowledge. Today having the ability to read is really important because if you can't read, you will also have the lesser chance to achieve your dreams in life.
In today's world, reading is essential to succeed in our society. Those who are skilled readers tend to have higher chance in progressing their career in life. A good reader can also socialize easily with other people. Reading can also develop one imagination and creativity. It helps us to do better things that we want  to do. When we try to open a book and read it, we feel that we are relaxed and we gain more new knowledge while reading the content of the book. Millions of life has been change because of books, because reading help them more to enhance their reading skills so that they can fit in the society we reside and to achieve the professional career in life.
Reading does not  only change our lives, and put it into success because reading also changes our beliefs about life that even how hard life is there is always great things that may happen in our lives.

REFLECTION

This quarter It has been a tough and challenging quarter. It testes my determination when it comes to my studies.I experienced the so called difficulty in managing my time.specially in accomplishing all the task that was given to us.Short time  was given to us because of the suspension of classes. At the end of the day I feel very exhausting but because I dont want to fail ,so i still try to work hard even at night. There were many tiring days but I am still determined to finish all the requirements given to us. The lack of time is not an excuse is matter of having proper time management and hardwork. Just be patient today the time will come you will gain it all.

Science, and technology playes a big role in building our nation to be great, spreading global modernization and shaping the world where we live

“Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements”. The National Science Club aims to focus on giving importance to Michael Faraday’s discovery of electricity and magnetism as part of the same phenomenon (electromagnetism), which is now the cornerstone of human technological advancements that brought significant changes in the world until today, and even upcoming changes in the future. The theme also assigns to the youth and Science clubbers the responsibility or role of accentuating potentials and activating technological advancements. Our generation are most probably the greatest inventors that makes this nation a better and modernized one.

We are the holder of the future of our nation, we will be the one who will make our nation better, greater, and richer in technology. If we want to have an advance generation we should first change ourselves and start moving.

UNITED NATION

In a country, Peace is a term that most commonly refers to an absence of aggression, violence or hostility. Peace isn’t the absence of violence but rather the presence of justice. In a society, peace happens when different desires are in one agreement. Peace is based on many things, culture, education, family values, experience and history but the basis is the same to avoid war, and killing and in order to have the world peace we all want that's why each country are joining force to attain the peacefulness of our world.

According to me, Peace is the feeling that all's right with the world. When everyone around me in my family, my friend circle and my neighbourhood is happy, eager to love, accept and relate. I feel at peace. Also, to me it means following what my heart says and sharing mutual trust and respect for people around me.
However, in today’s world, peace and harmony face various threats. Terrorism, regional imbalance, economic disparity, and social inequality are some of the factors which threaten peace today. We all are so engrossed in our busy lifestyles and yet want our lives to be peaceful. We expect that peace to be omnipresent but what we need to realize is the fact that if we want peace- we have to live peacefully, love everyone, forgive, forget, etc. It’s not enough to stand around asking if world peace will ever happen because that won’t do anything. Actions speak louder than any words. If everyone starts living the peaceful, loving way, things will change. But someone has to start and lead by example. Mahatma Gandhi once said "You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” We can’t rely on anyone else to do this. We have to do these ourselves for us to have peace.

Acceptance, compassion, and tolerance are the foundation of peace. Unity also matters to all of us for us to achieve world peace.

Gurong Pilipino: Turo mo, Kinabukasan ko

In life, in order for us to grow, one must be influenced by the people surrounding us. Among our friends, family, and all the people who surrounds us there is only one person we truly admire and that's our teacher. A teacher who stands as our second parent in school, and one of the people who believes on us.

Teaching is a noble profession, because we all know that this work is really hard. To be honest, while growing up I never cared for what my teacher's feel when we are not listening to what they teach. But I now I realized that it is truly hard to become a teacher. Standing infront of your students for how many hours, doing lesson plans during midnight, and there are also times that they will not have time for their family. I know that feeling because my mother is also a teacher. They are doing everything just for us to learn something new, for us to gain more knowledge but here we are being a hard headed student. But it's not too late for us to show our love and gratitude for all the sacrifices they've done for us.

It's time for us to change so the struggles and sacrifices will be paid off. Our teacher's, you are truly out hero because without all of you, we will not be where we are right now. I salute all of you and thank you for never giving up on us. Happy teachers day to all of the teachers in the world especially my mother.

FILIPINOS: THE BRAVE SOULS

     

Did you ever ask yourself what Is the real meaning of resilience? Based on my own definition of this word, resilience is the act of being strong even though you've experienced a lot of consequences. We all know that problems that we encounter in our life sometimes become our greatest downfall but we Filipinos are the most bravest and the strongest person I know.
        Our country Philippines have already experienced destructive calamities, disasters, or catastrophes that destroyed a lot of structures and agriculture in our country. This are the reasons why many Filipino families lost their home, the reason why the rate of our agriculture in our country is low because of big problems caused by calamities and disaster and one of the reasons why Philippines got include as one of the poorest country in the world because of the unending destruction of calamities and disaster. But we all know that Filipinos are stong and brave person, they still got the time to smile eventhough they experienced bad things in their lives. We always look on the brighter side and we still continue to fight for our lives even if we are carrying big burdens.Filipinos are the most resilient person that I know,That's the reason why they become one of the most lovable person that I admire.
        Facing simple challenges in life sometimes makes me want to quit or give up, but I realised that the problems that I've encountered are only small problem compared to the other problems of Filipinos. They are the proof that problems towards disaster and calamities are only one of the obstacles in our life that we need no passed to have a happier and wonderful life.
     

REFLECTION

The time has passed quickly, it was like  yesterday when the first day of school started. It's been 3 months since we started our discussions for the first grading period and now it's about to end. For this quarter, I had experienced a lot of consequences and challenges. It was tough and hard for me to overcome those challenges.

Bunch of school requirements , projects, quizzes and were schedule to be done this quarter. I felt so much tension and stress towards all the activities that was given to us. But despite of this challenges . I manage to finish and accomplish whatever task given to me.
Challenges are just obstacles in life. We are going to experience this before we achieve our goals in life.
